Marinas

Chatham Engineering has provided electrical and plumbing engineering services to marinas throughout the southeast including Rybovich West Palm Beach Marina, Fort Pierce City Marina, and Saint Augustine Municipal Marina all pictured above. Work includes both expansions on existing Marinas along with new construction including slips able to host mega yachts ranging from space for fifty vessels to several hundred slips.

Marina electrical designs typically include ship to shore power, dock lighting, and communication systems capable of withstanding the harsh saltwater environment. Ship to shore power ranges from simply 30 amp 120v/240v power linked to a transformer to 600 amp 480v power pedestals that tie into on-site substations. Lighting ranges from low profile fixtures to bollards lining the docks.

Plumbing designs provide potable water systems, sanitary and waste systems, and fire protection systems to docked ships utilizing hose bibs for domestic water, dock side connections for sanitary, and standpipes for fire protection
