The Bouhan-Falligant Building is a new building overlooking Savannah’s Forsyth Park. Located in the heart of Savannah’s historic Victorian District, the Bouhan-Falligant Building blends modern design and energy efficiency while maintaining the look and feel of the neighborhood. Built for Savannah’s oldest law firm, the design and construction team were the recipients of Engineering News-Record Southeast’s 2017 Award for Merit recipient for their hard work and dedication.

Chatham Engineering Company, LLC provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing design. The mechanical design featured a variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system with a dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS). The VRF is an energy efficient system with individual controls. The DOAS provides the outside air during occupied hours and features an energy recovery wheel to pretreat the outside air, saving energy and improving indoor air quality.
The electrical design included lighting, power, fire alarm, communications and security infrastructure. The lighting design features all energy efficient LED lighting with dimming controls in all offices and conference rooms.
The plumbing design utilized electric water heater and recirculation pumps. All fixtures are low flow water conservation type.
