Armstrong State University Recreation Fields Lighting
Chatham Engineering Company, LLC provided lighting design for an existing soccer, softball and baseball complex at Armstrong.
All lighting design was based on using 1500 metal halide floodlights, concrete and steel poles and all underground wiring.
The designs meet NCAA standards for collegiate play.
Due to budget demands, the project was split into 3 construction packages.
Common poles and directional drilling work was used to maximize the installation for each phase.
The lighting and foundations utilize a performance spec type design with confirmation of lighting after installation.
Each system is controlled manually from switches located at the service equipment and at a pole near the field entrance.
Due to state requirements, an open spec was used to allow maximum pricing completion.
